Why do we have to learn order and naming?

Reviving the Lost Art of Naming the World.

Summer Update

This is my 2nd week at the Hutch's SEP program - which has been a lot of work but overall fantastic for bettering my understanding of biotech.

Through tomorrow I am shadowing a researcher at Amgen who is working with glycolysis.  Yes, glycolysis.  It exists in the real world!

I also had the opportunity to visit the sequencing group (yes, they figure out the order of As, Ts, Cs, and Gs) and the antibodies group.  I am going to spend some time in antibodies this morning as they do ELISAs.

Hope you're having an excellent and safe summer!

Bees!

Then read this. (more to the story, it's not just the heat!)

And as a side note, I was recalled to IHS!
