Today we took notes on 6.1. A copy of the powerpoint is available in the black binder in the back of the room.
This is a key introduction to chromosomes and MEIOSIS, the production of gametes (as apposed to MITOSIS, the production of gentically identical daughter cells).
Tomorrow we will dive into 6.2, which goes into the nitty gritty details of MEIOSIS. It serves you well to be able to compare and contrast (similarities AND differences) between meiosis and mitosis.
